Is this country safe?
Mongolia is one of the safest countries in the world. The policemen are quite friendly to the tourists. As a foreigner or a visitor you are very unlikely to experience any serious problems. This country also didn't experience serious earthquakes or destructive floods for last 101 years. Here, no gunmen or hijackers exist at all and no vaccination required for entry from any country.
How are the country and people?
Traveling in this country is rather interesting and funny. Mongolia offers you unique and unexplored natural scenes with rich biodiversities. The Mongolians are very kind and friendly people. They are still very curious to foreigners and call the western tourists "the yellow people". So remember, you are actually "an yellow person" in Mongolia! The nomads who live in countryside always offer friendship and hospitality to any passer-by. Mongolia makes you delighted!
How's the weather and food?
Known as The land of blue sky, Mongolia’s sunny country that enjoys over 280 sunny days each year. Although we have continental climate, summer is a very pleasant time to travel therefore Mongolia's tourist season is from May to October. In general, food supply is not that bad in Mongolia. Because of increasing food import from Europe, now it's possible to have a balanced diet, even if you're a vegetarian.
How about accommodations?
The European standard hotels are available in the capital Ulaanbaatar. The quality of the facilities, services and food generally increases with price. In the countryside, there are a few hotels mostly of a poorer standard in province centers, although most tourists stay in specially constructed ger-camps. These camps provide accommodation in the round felt dwellings used by nomads and usually have separate toilet, washing and restaurant facilities.
What is the quick and easy access to Mongolia?
Transport to and fro Mongolia is usually by air or train. Flights are run all year round by MIAT (Mongolian Airlines) to and from Berlin, Frankfurt, Moscow, Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo. Aeroflot, Korean Air and Air China are also operating flights. During the tourism season, MIAT runs extra flights between Ulaanbaatar and Hong Kong, Singapore and Osaka. You also can travel to and from Mongolia by train. The Trans-Mongolian Express Train (not Trans-Siberian) takes a few days to travel from Moscow or Beijing.TOPBACK

Our staffs are professional and are dedicated to personalized customer service. Every trekking group has experienced drivers and specialized equipment such as GPS, so you will never be lost. Furthermore, all our treks have either licensed doctors or otherwise medically trained and qualified staff.
What are the trips like?
Travel in Mongolia is exciting and you will enjoy spectacular scenery. If you are coming to trek, or intend to travel through the countryside, you should have a certain level of fitness. You may encounter rough roads, high altitude and basic accommodation. During these trips, the stream is a bath while the toilet is a discreet rock or bush!
What about the difficulty level?
The level of difficulty of our treks ranges between easy to demanding. We usually hike no more than 15-20 km (9-12 miles) a day and less in mountainous areas. Treks are always camping trips.
What standard of service do we provide?
All our treks are fully supported. This means that your luggage is carried either by horses or camels; we put up and take down your tents, and food is prepared and cooked for you. All you need to carry is a small rucksack.
How many members make up a group and who'll look after me during the trip?
In order to ensure the utmost in personal service and quality, we limit our treks to a maximum of 14 people. During the trek knowledgeable and sympathetic guides will look after you with our local auxiliary staff. For most treks we arrange for an English-speaking guide to be with you from your arrival in Mongolia until your departure. German, Japanese, French, and Korean speaking guides are also available on request.
Can you arrange private itineraries? How long is a typical tour?
Half of the trips we organize involve tailor-made itineraries for private small groups. An average trip lasts 2-3 weeks. We will be happy to organize a custom made trip for a group of 3 or more people.
What should I pack?
Trekking equipment and medical supplies are not readily available in Mongolia. Better buy them before leaving; we will supply a complete gear list upon booking with us.
