special program takes you to the life of Middle Ages. Experience
the unique lifestyle of Mongolian nomads in their vast and unspoiled
country. There will be plenty to see and do. Stay with local
herdsmen, watch how they look after their animals and help them
with processing diary products and sample their traditional
food. Enjoy the home stay among regular nomadic families in Central
Mongolia. |

SUGGESTED
DAY BY DAY PROGRAM:
Day 1.
The jeep or bus will take us out of Ulaanbaatar to the south
into the countryside. Reach the horse breeding family on its
summer campsite. Afternoon hiking. Stay in the family.
Day 2.
Explore the real way of living of regular nomadic family. Experience
the milking cows, goats and sheep. Watch how they produce tasty
and nutritious dairy products including airag, fermented mare's
milk. In the afternoon, ride with a host to look for his horses
in the wild pasture.
Day 3.
Continue riding. Bringing a pack of horses. Watch how Mongolian
skillful cowboys catch horses by a lasso pole called "uurga".
Braking a horse that has never been ridden before. Milking mares
and volunteers may participate by holding the foals next to
their mothers.
Day 4.
Experience daily life of nomads including herding sheep, leather
stretching, churning airag and blend Mongolian traditional vodka
called "Shimiin arkhi". No doubt, you'll be invited
to try that vodka, but please not too much.
Day 5.
Today, you'll move with the family to new and good pasture on
ox carts. This event keep you busy all day. However dismantling
and re-building of a ger will be arguably interesting and unforgettable.
Use "an oxcart as a truck", and children will act
as "a crane".
Day 6.
Day free. You also may hike around the new camp or ride on hose.
Day 7.
The last day, now you'll have a nostalgic "White Party".
Also you may be invited to a Wedding ceremony or Child's First
haircut feast during fall. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival
you will be taken to your hotel. Do shopping including famous
Gobi cashmere shop where original cashmere gifts and garments
are found. |

- This program can be combined with famous Naadam festival or
other trips.
- The price includes: All inclusive of meals, accommodations,
guide services, sightseeing costs and fees, internal transportation
and specialized gear.
