GOLDEN EAGLE FESTIVAL TOUR

OVERVIEW

The Altai mountain range in the far west of the country is home to Mongolia’s largest national minority, the Kazakhs who came to settle here almost 200 years ago. It is here that they have preserved the ancient tradition of hunting with golden eagles. Every autumn this fascinating trade is celebrated during “The Golden Eagle Festival”. On the backcloth of majestic mountains and snowy peaks Golden eagles demonstrate their speed and agility under the command of their proud masters.

Dear Batbayar,

I’m sorry for the delay for I really wanted to thank you for a wonderful adventure in Mongolia. Th trip was everything we hoped it would be and we really enjoyed the “smaller” eagle festival as it gave us more of an opportunity to meet the people in the area. Damidaa was really spectacular as a guide…knowledgable, funny and able to make all kinds of on the spot arrangements. He understood when we just wanted to relax a bit as well as when I wanted a good gallop across the plains. I have friends that are interested in going again to Mongolia and they all wish to have Damidaa as our guide.

Thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful trip for us. We deeply appreciate your efforts.
