Cultural tours

To an unassuming eye, Mongolian life and culture appears to be sufficiently unique and authentic, but often the experience that tourists get is somewhat superficial. Consequently, we at Mongolian Trekking strive to go beyond the usual tourist attractions and experiences that most people get, and to offer tours that are genuinely authentic. This is why we organize tours off the beaten track, so that our clients get to experience life as it is truly lived by local people, people living in real, vibrant and often challenging environments. We want our clients to be guests and not just another tourist, when interacting with living communities.

This is a wonderful opportunity to engage and breathe deep a living culture, intimately connected to nature. We offer a number of such tours in various locations throughout Mongolia, details of which can be found below. This is an opportunity to connect and familiarize yourself with ancient cultures that are still living and relevant.

It is here that they have preserved the ancient tradition of hunting with golden eagles. Every autumn this fascinating trade is celebrated during “The Golden Eagle Festival”. On the backcloth of majestic mountains and snowy peaks Golden eagles demonstrate their speed and agility under the command of their proud masters.
